Scribe is seeking a marketing coordinator to join the publicity and marketing department in our Melbourne office.
Working across a list of around 70 titles per year of serious nonfiction and quality fiction, both local and international, the role will provide an opportunity to create and implement book-specific marketing campaigns.
Responsible for representing Scribe in engaging and innovative ways across social-media channels and digital platforms, including creating website content, the successful applicant will be working closely with authors, editors, and everyone involved in the publishing process. The job includes attending author events when necessary.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a love of books, excellent copywriting ability, high-level organisational skills, a high degree of initiative, and an exceptional understanding of the digital space. Trade-publishing experience is preferable, but applicants with marketing experience who are working in other industries are also encouraged to apply.
Position description available on request. Applications close at 5pm on Monday 12 February 2018.
To apply, please send a covering letter, a sample of your writing, and your CV to Sarina Gale: sarina@scribepub.com.au
