2019 Man Booker International Prize

Scribe is thrilled to announce that two of our books have been longlisted for this year's Man Booker International Prize.

At Dusk by Hwang Sok-yong, translated by Sora Kim-Russell, is a gentle yet urgent tale from one of Korea's most renowned and respected authors about the things, and the people, that we give up in our never-ending quest to move forward.

The Death Of Murat Idrissi by Tommy Wieringa, translated by Sam Garrett, is a tale of confinement and escape as old as the landscapes and cultures so vividly depicted in this story of where Europe and Africa come closest to meeting, even if they never quite touch.

Australian and NZ residents can win a copy of one of these fantastic books, along with a selection of earlier works from these two authors, through our Instagram, the winners will be drawn on Monday 8 April.
