Sam Wallman: Graphic Storytelling Workshop | Melbourne Writers Festival

Are you interested in creating your own graphic narrative? Join Sam Wallman, a widely published comics journalist, cartoonist and author of Our Members Be Unlimited, for a hands-on workshop covering the fundamentals of visual storytelling.

He guides you through brainstorming a topic, how to bring real-life experiences into your stories, and how to vividly illustrate your ideas. Write and edit a short script during the workshop and leave with sketches and images you can develop into a finished artwork or comic at home.

This event is in partnership with Writers Victoria.

Sam Wallman is a comics journalist and cartoonist based in Melbourne, Australia. His drawings have been published in The Guardian, The New York Times, The Age, the ABC, and SBS.
