Wandering with Intent shortlisted for The Age Nonfiction Book of the Year

Scribe is pleased to share that Wandering with Intent: essays by Kim Mahood has been shortlisted for the Age Book of the Year in the nonfiction category. 

The category was judged by author Michael McGirr and reviewer Simon Caterson, who said that the judging process involved reading a range of books by writers who ‘wrote with courage, conviction, and in their prose convey a unique awareness of themselves and the wider world.’

Wandering with Intent was commended as ‘an extraordinary collection of essays from the spaces in which non-Indigenous and Indigenous Australia continue to encounter each other.’
