We’re delighted to be participating in Open Book: a new paid internship aimed at fostering cultural diversity in the Australian publishing workforce.

The pilot Open Book: Australian Publishing Internship will offer two six-month paid placements: one based in Sydney and one based in Melbourne. Of the two internships, one is an identified Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander role. The interns will receive a well-rounded introduction to the industry at a rotating selection of publishing houses across commercial, independent, and educational presses: Pan Macmillan Australia, Hachette Australia and NewSouth Books in Sydney, and Hardie Grant, Oxford University Press and Scribe Publications in Melbourne.
